In 2020, the Ford manufacturer invites us to celebrate the legacy of the first 1965 Mustang Shelby GT350 Fastback coupe. This car was driven by the famous Ken Miles, the winningest man at the Tour Le Mans in the United States. For the occasion, Ford is re-releasing the legacy model this year in the nostalgic colours of the time under the name Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 Heritage Edition Package.

Although Carroll Shelby created the Fastback coupe from scratch in 1965. Helping to establish the GT350 brand, he had no idea that this Mustang would become a legend around the world. The Mustang GT350 with this package reminds us of the car's first victories at Green Valley Raceway in Texas on February 14, 1965. Under the hood is a 5.2-litre V8 engine with a flat crankshaft that produces 526 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque, coupled with a six-speed manual transmission. This Mustang is powerful and goes from 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. With its high performance, the Mustang GT350 Heritage Edition Package doesn't go unnoticed, especially with its distinctive racy look.
Inside, there are dials and air vents reminiscent of race car interiors, a good-sized touch screen, an attractive console and a stylish gear knob. Technological features include Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, as well as Siri voice recognition, Internet navigation, USB connectivity and much more.
With its race car design, the American automaker wanted to pay homage to international car racing, where the colours blue and white have always dominated since the 1950s. The Heritage Edition package comes one year after Shelby GT350 received a multitude of upgrades. These included revised front chassis geometry for improved steering performance, as well as revised anti-lock braking and MagneRide tuning for optimized aerodynamics, resulting in improved road handling, stability and maneuverability. The Shelby GT350R is benefitting from the redesigned high-performance steering system in the all-new Shelby GT500 for 2020. It also includes a new steering rack and recalibrated electric power steering control. In short, this Mustang is unlike any other - distinctive, powerful and high-performance.
